Purdy's Petting Zoo is a privately owned zoo.
Therefore, the zoo does not receive state, local or federal funding of any kind.
All admissions proceeds goes directly towards caring for the animals and upkeep
of the zoo. This includes animal housing, appropriate diet, veterinary care, new
exhibit and design for all maintenance of the facility.

We offer hand led pony rides on-site at the petting zoo,
a 4 pony carousel is available on demand for parties and
other special occasions.

We have a 25' panning for gems water sleuth, designed
for adults and for children. There are several different bag
sizes of mining rough to choose from and several different
types of bags. Large Bags, Medium Bags & Small Bags.
It is a great hands on
participation activity for kids and adult
with a little educational reading
and pictures attached to the
building for that added learning
experience and for identification
purposes. This is not just
for kids, all ages will enjoy this type
